People at Work Forum
A spin off from the highly successful People at Work Live! Seminar Series, the People at Work Forum is the new and improved version of world class learning events for people at work and jobseekers. The first quarter run for 2006 was conducted last March 28, 29 and 30 with seasoned trainers Tital Datu Puangco, Ernie Cecilia and Dr. Josie Santamaria tackling the topics Unleashing the Power of Passion in Work and Life, Mastering Effective Face-to-Face Communication and Managing Differences 360 degrees.
This was followed by the highly acclaimed Break-through for Success series on July 26, 27 and 28, 2006 with international break-through guru Jim Clark, founder of InnoGreat, who shared his expertise on Breakthrough Service, Breakthrough Productivity and Breakthrough Innovation. The presentation was made more substantial by conversation with panelists Yehey.Com president Donald Lim, Philamlife VP for Segments Marketing Melvin Esteban, ECC International Business Development Head Angel Fernandez, National Wages and Productivity Commission Executive Director Becky Calzado, Manila Broadcasting President Jun Nicdao, and Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Executive Vice President Dave Valdes.
The last offering for 2006 was Lessons from the CEO Who Created Millionnaires which was delivered by Michael G. Malaghan, the author of “Making Millions in Direct Sales” (McGraw-Hill 2005) on Nov. 15, 2006. In this four-hour session, he shared his secrets on how to become a millionnaire based on his own experience in which he helped his management team become millionaires. Malaghan started his career in 1961 as a book salesman. He finished his career 41 years later as president of International Horizons (Licensee of The Walt Disney Company) leading five direct-sales organizations spread across Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. In 1992, he started an incredible streak of increased sales every year for 11 consecutive years. After being promoted to president, he raised sales in Japan from $50M to $110 M in 3 years as part of the quarter billion dollar empire he retired from only a few years ago. In the process, he created millionaires from the ranks of his sales managers, a promise he made and kept.
Reflections at Work Seminar Series
Last March 2004, Optimus offered a Lenten learning event for people at work to reflect on workplace values, building a community and spiritual intelligence. A three part series, Reflections for the Working Soul (Living Your Values at Work), Reflections for the Organizational Soul (Building a Community at Work), and Reflections for the Leader’s Soul (Developing your Spiritual Quotient), are available for re-run exclusively for your employees.
People at Work Live! Seminar Series
The first of these popular learning events is the People at Work Live! Seminar Series which was conceptualized by Optimus and offered to the public in 2001 as a joint venture with Philippine Daily Inquirer. This included the Special People at Work Live! Seminar Series last August 2002 where international bestselling author and syndicated columnist Bob Rosner gave two successful presentations. To date, People at Work Live! has conducted 11 learning events reaching over 13,000 learners in over 1,500 companies. The 33 learning sessions are available individually for re-run exclusively for your employees.
MWM Live! Seminar Series
Last November 2003, Optimus begun a tie-up with ABS-CBN Publishing Inc., conceptualizing and organizing for Metro Working Mom the MWM Live Seminar Series, “Successfully Woman: A Guide to Success in Work and Life.” Held at SGV Hall, AIM Conference Center, it was jampacked with women who want to improve their lives. The three learning sessions, Communicating with Power, Developing a Winning Image, and Becoming a Manager-Leader, are available individually for re-run exclusively for your employees.
Business Skills for Everyone
Last July 2004, Optimus tied up with Ancilla Enterprise Development Consulting and Land Bank of the Philippines to bring business skills for everyone who would like to set up their own business as an alternative to employment. This 2-day program is available for re-run for your employees.
Make More Millions In Sales Seminar Series
Last May 2005, Optimus partnered with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) to bring in a international marketing guru, Mike Malaghan, who wrote “Making Millions in Direct Sales” for a two-part seminar series. These two learning sessions are available in DVD.
